Overview
Title: Family Medicine Resident Physician
Professional Summary: Family medicine has been a part of my life since I was born, as both of my parents are rural Family Medicine Physicians in Wisconsin. Growing up and seeing the impact my Parents’ had on their community and the relationships with their patients heavily influenced by decision to practice Family Medicine. I enjoy being able to take care of the whole person, and not just individual symptoms. The continuity of care and the relationships formed with patients is what gets me excited to come to work every day. Special interests in medicine include sports medicine, wilderness medicine, palliative care/hospice, and integrative medicine.
Personal Summary: I was born and raised in Rice Lake, WI, a town of about 8,000 in Northwestern Wisconsin. I attended Allegheny College, in Meadville, PA, majoring in Biochemistry. It was at college that I met by husband, Devin. I moved back to Wisconsin to attend medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health as part of the Wisconsin Academy of Rural Medicine (WARM program) in Madison, WI. My husband and I choose to come to Coeur d’Alene for residency as it was the perfect combination of mountains and lakes. In my free time I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, paddle boarding, downhill skiing, and Crossfit.
Societies and Positions Held: American Academy of Family Physicians, Idaho Academy of Family Physicians, Wilderness Medicine Society
